Reconstructed Roshino airport in Tyumen
Early in 2017 Roshino international airport in Tyumen opened its doors after reconstruction that took almost 5 years.
It took so much time to rebuild the airport because none of the flights were suspended and it continued to function during the construction works. First, they renewed utility infrastructure, then proceeded with the airport building and surrounding territory. Construction was equally sponsored by Tyumen Oblast and Yamalo-Nenets autonomous district. The size of the airport grew from 6 459 square meters up to 27 217 square meters while its capacity increased from 250 passengers to 600 passengers per hour.
